A Dark, Biker/Mafia, Lovers to Enemies to Lovers, Suspense Romance
Synopsis
MICAH
I walked through the valley of forsaken souls believing that she would fly back home, but she didn’t. The memory of who I thought she was haunts me. Yet, the curiosity to discover who she is exhilarates me. Obsession is a violent thing, and I am, indeed, violent in the way I crave her. Trapped in a cage, tormented by my desire for revenge, I found allies. I spent years carefully crafting a scheme to watch Grady O’Conner’s kingdom be consumed by the hell I raised. I destroyed her. But it’s the invisible cord that keeps her tethered to me...her cage, even if she hates me.
LYRA
He called me his little hummingbird, but I was always a slayer. I was never meant to wear the tiara of a mafia princess. I was better suited to wear the armor of a knight. It’s been 10 years since I felt the brand of his forsaken touch ignite something in me that I fear has the power to unequivocally break me. Whatever it is must be snuffed out because I took a lurid oath. One that binds me to the O’Conner criminal family. As their assassin, I make people disappear even if it’s the man who was once my best friend, my lover, and now my enemy.

Intimate Partner (Domestic Violence) Hotline

This novel will explore antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) and the development of both a psychopath and a sociopath. ASPD is a pattern that can present itself with a disregard to meet social norms and exhibiting violent behaviors towards others. The common phrase that rings true in this novel is that psychopaths are born, and sociopaths are made. For the FMC, it’s the development of a psychopath. The novel will include aspects of childhood trauma and living in a family environment with intimate partner violence, IPV, also known as (DV), domestic violence, which is a reference. There are also references to violence, such as witnessing a murder at a young age.
This will be displayed through the first part of the novel. For the MMC, the vital moment of development signs of a sociopath path will grow throughout the novel with the lethal actions, lack of remorse, and the thirst for revenge, which will be more evident in Part II.
DID, (dissociative identity disorder) will be explored; however, this is not a strict diagnosis. This novel has unethical psychological and scientific practicing on a minor, that created a forced, dissociative state. The FMC will exhibit features of DID. DID is a disorder that features a disruption of identity. DID can manifest itself after an individual has experienced a traumatic life experience. A person can have two or more personalities (alters). The basis of this novel will show, like Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hyde.
The FMC has experienced a myriad of deeply disturbing adversities. Therefore, giving credence to exploring the foundation of DID will help explain the shift in FMC.
In addition, the MMC son, has autism. There will be brief descriptions of how his son presents his autism. There will also be a disruption of how the MMC adapts to having a son with autism.
Please keep in mind that mental health presents differently within every person. This novel is not a case study of mental health. However, it uses mental health to develop deeper and more complex character development. I write my character a critical mind, and above all else with care and compassion.

SEXUALITY EXPLORATION
FMC will be exploring bisexuality within this novel. The FMC’s trauma is not correlated to her exploring bisexuality. Sexuality is a spectrum. This novel will explore the FMC’s fluidity with her new partner. People come into your life for a reason, and the FMC’s new relationship will help the character grow.
Although there is a messy dynamic between the FMC and her new partner when the MMC comes back, there is no true love triangle. It’s always been the FMC and MMC; they are true soulmates.
